Please note that unless the item is made from just stainless steel or tungsten carbide, it will eventually tarnish. This can be prevented for a while depending on how well the item is taken care of! Plated items will last longer than items made of alloy.
Stainless Steel
- Safe to wear in water, unless gold plated
- Avoid spraying perfume or other chemicals on them as it can tarnish them
⁃ Don’t wear gold stainless steel items in the shower or get them wet as it’ll tarnish them quicker
Copper, Alloy:
⁃ Don’t wear them in bed as they can tarnish quicker
⁃ Don’t wear them in the shower or get them wet as it’ll tarnish them quicker
- Avoid spraying perfume or other chemicals on them as it can tarnish them
925 Sterling Silver:
- 92.5% pure silver and 7.5% of other alloyed metals.
- I would not recommend wearing your 925 sterling earrings in water to prolong its life and prevent discolouration.
- 925 sterling silver can eventually tarnish so take care of them
- Do not recommend if your ears are extremely allergic to specific metals as they are 92.5% silver and 7.5% alloy

Rhodium Plated:
Rhodium is similar to stainless steel as it doesn’t tarnish! A few of the earrings are rhodium plated. This is good, although the rhodium plating can eventually rub off after a while of wearing it (about a year) so we don’t recommend wearing it in water just in case. But if you get it wet once, don’t stress 😅
